Using beer instead of water to make soap, beer will offer a light scent with all natural ingredients. The beer in beer soap has some added health benefits. Beer soap has ingredients that moisturize, fight acne, repairs hair. Beer is made up of hops, barley, malt and whatever herbs, fruits, spices and grains the brewer choose to include. Hops contain polyphenols which are thought to account for its anti-bacterial and preservative effects. Hops also contain skin -softening amino acids and are known for their relaxing properties. Beer soap has a much better lather than soaps made with water.
The taste of beer translates to a much lighter scent in the soap, so FSW adds a few fragrance oils or essential oils into the soap mix. For instance, if a chocolate stout is used for soap making, a touch of vanilla and or cocoa powder is added as a compliment to the chocolate undertone. Shop Store
